PROJECT: Softball Helmet Design

Worth, a leading softball equipment manufacturer asked us to create a batter’s helmet design that would fit into their strategy of being a technically-advanced, aggressive, and innovative brand. This helmet design was created with an original aesthetic and suggested material finishes that would be noticed up close and at a distance. Additional structure was engineered into the bill, preventing deflection at impact. An adjustment band to aid proper fit was included allowing a player to make quick adjustments to fit. The helmet design has been a success and is worn by NCAA softball and baseball teams.

Our work on the project consisted of 2D concept development, 3D CAD, engineering development, prototyping, and production support.
