PROJECT: Injection-molded Softball Glove

Eqwip Sports is a brand developed within Priority Designs as a creative outlet for our own hyper-advanced sports concepts. The first concept born out of this brand was this over-molded urethane softball glove. By using injection-molded urethane instead of leather, we had the ability to add designed-in features, such as ribs in the palm that absorb shock. It also features a soft urethane skin molded over rigid "bones" inside each of the fingers. A player's hand fits into an interchangeable hand-sock which snaps into the glove. The concept for the glove has been patented and was a 1999 IDEA Silver Award winner.
