CLIENT: Homedics (2006)

PROJECT:  BubbleSpa & PedicureSpa Footbaths

Homedics, a leading provider of personal wellness products, asked us to help them bring new innovations to their footbaths. They wanted us to add value to these products while maintaining their current price margins in this highly competitive category.

To meet their criteria we focused on capturing the experience you might get from a high-priced spa. We developed features like a pull-out wand system enabling the user to give herself a full pedicure, a gel pad to rest her heel and simulated sea grass inside the tub. These features allow users to give themselves a more complete foot care experience. We also added a soft-touch carry handle and hand grips that make it easier and safer to transport the unit and drain the water. Improved accessory storage make cleanup and storage a snap. Homedics was excited by the final designs, and sales of the footbaths exceeded their expectations.

Our contributions to these projects included 2-D and 3-D concept development, 3D CAD modeling, and prototyping.

The Homedics Heating Pads and the Moen Hand Shower are similar product we designed and engineered.
