Priority Designs creates new products and packaging for Rawlings.

Recently, sporting goods maker Rawlings hired Priority Designs to help them create several new baseball products and packaging for 2006. In addition, we were also hired by their sister organization Worth to create several new softball products.

As specialists in sporting goods design, we were very excited to be approached by Rawlings and Worth. Rawlings is the most recognized brand in baseball and they were a great match to leverage our experience designing protective gear and soft goods. Over a 3 month period, designers Kevin Vititoe, Kevin Rodstrom, Mike Lorenz, Sean Svendsen,Sherry Jones, Chad Haas, Aaron Cornaby, Tom Africa and intern Celine Casteneda worked with the Rawlings and Worth development teams to create a new standard for baseball and softball equipment.

Our contributions to these Rawlings projects included; consumer research, strategic market analysis, 2-D and 3-D concept development, graphic design, package design and vendor support.

Shown below are the new (for 2006) Rawlings baseball catcher's chest protector and leg guards, a new children's glove, an equipment bag and a family of new packaging for baseballs. Also shown are the new Worth catcher's chest and leg protectors and an equipment bag.
