Priority Designs wins an Active Safety VOLVO Sports Design Award.

Priority Designs and TaylorMade Golf received an Active Safety VOLVO Sports Design AWARD for the TaylorMade r7 head cover at ISPO Winter 06 (International Trade Show for Sports Equipment and Fashion). Over 300 entries were submitted from across the globe. Five finalists were chosen in seven different categories. Finalists were honored and winners announced at an elaborate awards ceremony January 28th in Munich, Germany. Said Jonathan Disley, Studio Chief Designer, VOLVO Car Corporation "The fusion of innovative product and VOLVO Sports-Design AWARD at ISPO Winter 06 is one of the most believable, honest and authentic AWARDS that is available to designers across the globe. I honestly believe that if you are a winner or nominee in this competition then you truly have understood the consumer and what good design can achieve.”

Designers Chad Haas, Robert Nunez, Mike Lorenz, Tom Africa, Paul Kolada, Sherry Jones and Craig Berez won in the Equipment Protection category for The TaylorMade r7 head cover. Said juror Andrej Kupetx, Managing Director and Technical Manager of the Rat Fur Formgebung/German Design Council "The head cover is a very smart product with perfect function and an overall TaylorMade look. Fine details like the magnetic lock show a high-tech approach and offer total satisfaction to the user.”

Another product from Priority Designs, the STX Lacrosse 4sight (women’s protective goggles) was chosen as a finalist in the Head Protection category. Designers Kevin Vititoe and Chad Haas flew to Munich, attended the show and personally accepted the award. Said designer Chad Haas “It was like the Oscar’s…a huge event and we’re proud to have been recognized as a finalist, let alone a winner!"
