Ryan Eder wins Best in Show Design Awards.

Ryan Eder, an industrial designer at Priority Designs, is the first student to win the coveted “IDEA Best in Show” in the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) competition.  The design jury was tough this year awarding 20 gold awards in a field of 595 foreign entries from 29 countries, as well as 1,096 U.S. entries.

Ryan received this prestigious award for his concept for an exercise machine that accommodates both wheelchair-bound and fully mobile people.  He calls the machine, “The Access” and it was his senior thesis at the University of Cincinnati.  He graduated, June 2006.

He will receive the awards at CONNECTING ’07 World Design Congress in San Francisco from October 17 – 20.
