CLIENT: Arc Second (1999)

PROJECT: Vulcan 3D Spatial Measurement System

Designed and Engineered for Arc Second, a technology equipment company from Washington D.C., the Vulcan is an electronic measuring system used for capturing real-world measurements for virtual 3-D computer environments. Its many uses include crime scene documentation and special effects movie production. Much ergonomic research and problem-solving engineering went into this ground-breaking product, and its high-tech aesthetics reflect its modern technology. For our efforts our product design firm was awarded a silver 2000 IDEA Award.

Our contributions to these projects included 2-D and 3-D concept development, 3D CAD modeling, engineering, graphic design, and vendor coordination
