CLIENT: Mead (2004)

PROJECT: Nike Licensed Binders, Soft Goods, Spiral Notebooks and Accessories

Mead, a leading school and business supply manufacturer, asked us to help them design several soft goods products with Nike licensing. To uncover potential areas for innovation, we conducted research at a 5th-8th grade middle school. Students were video taped arriving at school, exiting the bus, interacting with their lockers and walking to class. From the research came a wealth of design inspiration that went into the NIKE Origami and ACG lines of products. We applied this research in ideas like quick-access pockets and spaces for cell phones. Both kids and adults responded well to the products.

Our contribution to these projects included 2-D and 3-D concept development, soft goods development and vendor coordination.

Our soft goods specialist designed similar products for Leeds and Taylormade.
