CLIENT: Scotts
Lawn and Garden (2002)
PROJECT: Pull ‘'N Spray
Scott’'s asked us to help them design and develop a new manual
pump sprayer with something that was easier to use. Hand fatigue was a
common complaint from users of Scott's liquid spray products. Together
we designed and developed their new sprayer with a simple, effortless
suction pump mechanism that eliminated the endless manual pumping that
had caused fatigue. Complaints went down and sales went up. The Pull ‘'N
Spray was recognized by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and
Design with a 2003 GOOD Design award.
Our contribution to this project included 2-D and 3-D concept development,
3D CAD modeling, prototyping, engineering, and vendor coordination.
