During one of his visits to Priority Designs, a Nike Golf designer noticed one of our engineers building a single-speed bike. As a fellow cyclist himself, the Nike designer half jokingly said he’d love to have a bike for getting around the sprawling Beaverton campus. That comment led to a fun relationship-building project where we assembled 3 one-off bikes, each branded by the Nike designer to reflect a different golf product line. It’s one of those instances where a passion for one’s sport can lead to a simple problem-solving solution. Now the Nike designers have a great way of riding their brand equity all over town.
