New Look, New Designs, New Line
Plano had purchased GunGuard, which offered molded products, and wanted to launch a soft-sided line for their new brand. Along with their new product, Plano wanted a brand refresh with a signature logo that could stand alone.
The project kicked off with a retail search for materials, function and cost evaluation. Priority Designs provided several aesthetic concepts. The direction chosen was a handle-forward design to provide more support for the heavier-barrel side of a gun carry case. Along with the bag design, we explored a number of logo and icon options which was ultimately narrowed to a final design.
The product line launched with 6-7 bag designs based on various price points and features. The line was designed to be extended for rifle vs. shotgun implementation for future development.
