Cooking with Style
When thinking about re-designing their new kitchen appliance families, Frigidaire identified a variety of consumer segments and the emotional characteristics that motivated each category. For the Gallery collection, a style-savvy consumer profile was defined. Priority Designs was asked to develop a visual brand language that could be applied to a range of products, from refrigerators and dishwashers to microwaves and ovens, all of which use style to add prestige and value to the home.
Gallery With Flair
We began our efforts by visualizing style-conscious consumers through image collections that reflect their personality. Clean and understated visual cues then migrated into product details. One of these features, including two different metallic finishes on the same handle, became an industry first. For Gallery appliances, this attribute evolved into a matte handle finish with a polished chrome accent. This signature element was then translated to a variety of appliance touch points, from fridge handles to oven knobs. It became an easily recognizable visual cue that helped tie the product family together and became a strong brand hallmark. Ultimately, we helped Frigidaire give consumers something to brag about with a design language that stands the test of time.
