Case Study: Rockwell Automation

We’ve designed hundreds of intuitive graphical icons and deeply consider software workflow. To find optimal solutions early on, we validate designs by fabricating physical breadboards that integrate digital and physical interactions. We work with development partners to create simple digital prototypes to simulate and test interaction. This results in products that seamlessly blend physical and digital interfaces into one cohesive experience.

In the case of Rockwell Automation, our diverse design team took on the task of designing the physical product and the user interface. These industrial controllers need to fit a wide variety of factory configurations, and both the hardware and software needed to be as intuitive as possible. Our user interface designers developed wireframes, hundreds of icons, prototypes, and a software development kit.
