Priority Designs Hosts Student Open House

Over 200 students gathered at Priority Designs on September 29, 2017 for an Open House with our staff. Students traveled from over 11 schools across 4 states to join us for the event. Beginning the evening with a portfolio review, students brought in their work to be reviewed  individually with staff designers and engineers. The party kicked off outside on the patio with a food truck, pedal cart races, and a s’mores bar!

Students were invited to attend a variety of discussions. Topics included tips on how to interview and get a job, the design process, engineering at a design firm, user research and special projects like IDEA award winners IncludeFitness and the Q-Collar. Throughout the evening, students were given tours for a behind the scenes look around the studio and shop, with the chance to see digital knitting, casting, 3D printing and more.

"It was a jam-packed evening with games, food, and real world insight into product development."

It was a jam-packed evening with games, food, and real world insight into product development. We enjoyed meeting students from many backgrounds, and we hope you had a great experience too! To see photos from the photo booth and throughout the night, click here to see the photo album.
