What Makes Consumers Buy With Confidence?
Our experienced researchers employ a number of qualitative shop-along / user experience research methods to help bring innovation to the shopping experience. With their permission, we follow shoppers through retail and on-line stores to uncover what influences their purchases.
The best user experiences give buyers confidence in their purchase decisions. When users feel confident, they freely spend more, upgrade their purchases, and become advocates for the brand.
We interview, study their shopping habits, and follow them through the query, comparison, purchase, delivery, and assembly steps.
We find out what drives sales and how to improve them.
Informed by insights, our research experts help clients focus their brand and product development efforts, creating: products, messaging, packaging, displays, and other brand experience touch points that make shoppers want to come back for more.
Case Study: Corona Garden Tools
For a recent project for Corona®, we worked with dozens of shoppers across the US and followed them through home-centers to find out what influenced their landscaping equipment purchases. We interviewed them prior to the store visits, and then compared their expectations to their actual experiences in the stores. We learned how to dramatically improve the shopping experience by enhancing Corona’s packaging, store displays, and products. We learned how to improve Corona’s brand recognition, and found multiple ways to differentiate their brand from their competitors.
We tested people using tools, and learned what it took to make loppers that perform and delight. Inspired by the insights, several new feature innovations were created for their Lopper line.
The Result: A dramatic 71% increase in lopper sales.
